When you move, your electricity contract must either be terminated or transferred to your new address. If you don’t report the move, you might end up paying for electricity at a place you no longer live – and that happens more often than you’d think.
The new resident might also end up without power if the contract isn’t updated in time. That’s why it’s important for both parties to report the change. Have you bought a new home or rented a new apartment? Let us know as soon as you have the move-in date, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Here are a few simple rules to follow:
- Report your move at least one week before you leave.
That gives us time to register everything and ensure the electricity follows you. - Moving into a place without power?
It happens. It may mean the power has been disconnected. Contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll initiate the process to get it started. - Received a bill for your old home?
It might mean your move wasn’t properly registered. Get in touch, and we’ll help you sort it out. - You don’t need to read the meter yourself.
